So far throughout my travels, Barcelona seems to be the city, most difficult to describe. It carries a modern, cultural, artsy, traditional and lively buzz. One thing the city refuses to allow anybody to forget is the works of Anonio Gaudi, which can be seen in various locations. His work around the city seemed to provide a different aura and character in each location, something quite fairylike and make-believe.
The city is built up of some of the wildest construction styles, from modern, Roman and gothic buildings. Nevertheless, each landmark encouraged a beautiful sight set between the beach at the very coast and the mountains in the near distance.
What i liked most abut the city was it’s poetic vibe and hidden treasures. Most places I came across during the day looked abandoned and to my surprise turned itself around by night, as though the city had its own alter ego.
With many attractions such as Park Guell, Sagrada Familia and the nearby market, the beach, night life, sangria, tapas and spanish omlettes are not to be missed.
This trip taught me a few interesting lessons and further appreciation for life. It’s earthy tones in the sunlight and vibrant atmosphere was enough to make me put down my phone and engage more with the present.
Anyway without me dragging on, here’s what I threw on while I was there...
xx
