RECYCLING

29 April 2015

There’s a definite portion of our society who perhaps believe wearing outfits more than once is a sin, an idea I find irrational. I personally see nothing wrong with repeating outfits. In fact, I think it’s bloody brilliant. There seems to be a fear in doing so followed by a number of questions such as, where did I where that to? Who was I with when I did? Who has seen me in this number? Did I post this on instagram?

There are celebrities and fashion icons who have been repeating their outfits regularly and I am so here for it. Of course there are also those who don’t necessarily believe in it, but what point is there trying to keep up with the Jones’s. After all, it’s a waste of money buying something once for it to sit in your wardrobe and look pretty for years on end.

There’s great tact in being able to wear the same items on numerous occasions. Who said you had to wear the exact same outfit? Switching up different parts to your look can entirely change it. Mix and match with different tops and bottoms, shoes and accessories and your wardrobe expands without you having to buy a single thing. Suddenly you have an entirely different outfit. Having a brand new item locked away after it’s been worn is foolish...washing machines were made for a reason.

I’ve been 'repeating' my outfits for years, which you’ll be seeing in future posts as I like to show you guys exactly how I usually recycle my wardrobe for any occasion.

Even Anna Wintour is down with the plan people...pairing her number with different footwear

On that note I want to encourage you all to repeat your outfits. Treat it as a challenge and most importantly have fun doing so.
