#New Year New Destination

Happy New Year to you all! I hope the year has started well and will continue to follow through. I for one am super excited about 2018!

I welcomed the year in with yet another birthday & decided I was going to celebrate the entire 31 days. I had dinner with family and friends at my favourite Thai and Chinese restaurants on separate days before taking to Dubai the next day with friends on the 8th of January.

We did everything you’re supposed to do out there - laugh, eat till our hearts were content, party, shop, swim, visit the famous mosque & rack up hours on the desert.

I’ve always wanted to visit Dubai, but timing is key and beginning the year there couldn’t have been any more perfectly planned.

One of my new rules this year is to enjoy the moment more than I use my phone to capture it. Doing so, I easily forgot to take scenic and aesthetically pleasing food photos so here’s some outfits and key places to explore should you decide to visit the UAE.

Abu Dhabi - Sheikh Zayed Mosque

To have anything negative to say about the Sheikh Zayed Mosque is to confirm that pigs can fly. From the piercing white walls, floral design, gold detailing and reflective pools surrounding the mosque in such femininity, it’s something you can’t quite get enough of.

Founded by Sheikh Zayed in Abu Dhabi it’s one of the largest in the world. The courtyard is incredibly vast, as is the main prayer hall which invites up to 7,000 worshipers. If you’re travelling to Dubai or even as far as, the Mosque is worth a visit. Women can be expected to dress modest and keep their hair covered. Men also follow the same guidelines covering their arms and legs. No pressure though, Abayas (with an attached hood as seen above) are handed to you to wear on your visit if need be.
