It's all in the perspective. Do What You Think You Can't Do!
This week hasn’t been the best. Hell, as of late things just haven’t been going my way.
I’ve been in a rut for the past several days, moping around as if the world owes me something. I managed to get myself into a spiral of negative thinking, eating nothing but junk, skipping breakfast, which creeped into being less productive, procrastination, late nights and mornings, binge watching shows and dwelling in further negative thought processes.
I finally decided to focus on where I had been going wrong, asking myself what is the cause and the cure? As crazy as it may sound sometimes you’ve got to talk to yourself. Sometimes you already know the answers and in doing so, I found it was simple. One word.
Perspective.
Overall, I now understand that there is a shift occurring in my life and I perhaps wasn’t sure of how to process or handle it.
I came across a video on Youtube at the beginning of the year by Casey Neistat, titled “Do what you can’t”.
DO WHAT YOU CAN'T.
Pinch me if i’m wrong but I think this is one of the most...or possibly THE greatest quote ever written. The more it’s said the louder you can hear it, feel it, believe it.
Now although the video is aimed at following your dreams, it’s bold and positive title was relevant, memorable and just what I needed to wake up and get it together.
A lot of things boil down to the way in which we view life. We’re all human beings, none of us are perfect and we can’t all be happy bunnies and positive peters all day everyday. However, we can try and we can start somewhere.

I had a plan for this year as I suppose we all had. It’s the end of July and 5 months left of 2017. Turns out it’s not heading in the direction I thought, but what good will it do if I sit around and drown in my sorrows about it. If anything it’ll waste more precious time. A lot is changing and as my brother would say “life goes on.”
Change is in full effect for me at the moment and instead of looking for the positive in the negative I allowed negative thoughts to overtake my mind. It got me nowhere. I’ve since decided to go with the current of the waves, stop complaining and get on with it. Of course this is easier said then done and i’ve since begun by simply changing my thought patterns, waking up daily and speaking nothing but positivity and gratitude.
I believe this video is important and recommend it to any of you who need a push, some positivity or even a hug.
With life being as hectic as it is, we often forget that we only have one life to live. Today is present and past, but tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. We can not afford to sink.
Let go of becoming your own enemy. Think about what’s holding you back, getting you down or placing a pause on your greatness. Don’t allow it to overtake you. Take control. Take some time out for yourself, do something you love, remember who you are, pick yourself up and get back on that throne! Push yourself. DO WHAT YOU CAN'T.
