RETURN OF THE CAPE X #LFW15

21 September 2015

I’m back in London & enjoying september’s indian summer! Yes! It’s warm and bright. September has always seemed to be the month of confusion, warm and sunny one day, cold and wet another...who am I kidding that’s the U.K 70% of the time, but hey.

Anyway...It’s London Fashion Week and in the spirit of such an occasion, I present to you, THE CAPE! It hasn’t left my wardrobe rail display since I last wore it (HERE) back in december. Cape’s give me life...they’re easy, comfortable and a great outwear to wear between seasons, before it gets too hot or too cold.

Lately, i’ve been showing more love to accessories. It tends to be part of the wardrobe forgotten about often, but it’s the little things that can completely change a look. I stumbled across this burgundy knot belt from Zara. It’s now my absolute favourite amongst my belt collection! The colour is rich against the gold buckle and it matched my manicure, so of course I had to get it lol

I particularly loved the practicality of its use. I have quite a small waist and a fair sized bottom. For those of you who have a similar shape, you’ll understand the struggle of finding jeans, which fit perfectly around your waist, hips and the bumper in the back.  The extra strap detail added to the belt to enable you to knot it, not only solves that problem, but the issue of it dangling where it wishes and adds an extra je ne sais quoi to the outfit, keeping the rest of it fitted in place. Perfect!

I took to the streets of Chelsea/Knightsbridge in this look and managed to catch up with a friend over dinner in the evening.

There’s so much going on this month...at the moment, i’m catching up on the fashion week shows so far, Elle’s september issue, lusting over a pair of Miu Miu sunnies and listening to Drake and Future’s new mixtape “what a time to be alive” POW

until next time...xx
